I am seeking to find out exactly why the engine is choosing certain moves, I would like to find out if there is a way I can view the move by move analysis behind the decision.

When the engine finishes calculating, the name of the engine appears underneath the moves, as a link. If you click on that link, you get a log of the engine’s move calculations. In that log, if you click on any of the moves, you get a small chessboard and you can click through the moves on that chessboard.
