SOPHOS antivirus on android identifies NCM as a low reputation app, fyi
Aye, thank you for the heads-up. I’ve never used Sophos before, but I just tried it out and am seeing exactly what you’re seeing. They have some sort of resolution process where I can submit the app for a re-assessment. I’ll do that and try and figure out what’s going on.
I’m learning that Sophos automatically classifies apps as “low reputation” if they have not yet analyzed the particular APK.
So I went through their process here to submit the app for “reassessment”:

The whole process seemed a bit sketchy and I don’t have particularly high hopes of this resolving it. The submission form is broken in Firefox, and the mandatory “Android Version” drop-down only goes up to Android 4, but I gave it a shot
